Testing is available at Prometric testing centers all over the world and online. If you’d like to take the exam at a testing center, you can search for a local location. If you’re interested in pursuing an online exam, simply register and select the option to take your exam online via the Prometric system. You can also review the Exam Handbook which includes crucial information regarding exam processes that you will want to review before purchasing and scheduling your exam.

SHRM credential holders are required to recertify every three years and are provided with two options to do so: by earning PDCs (60 per 3-year cycle); or by retaking the exam. The process must be completed preferably by your end date (last day of your birth month), but definitely by your expiration date (last day of your 60 day grace period). The only version of the Learning System eligible for an upgrade is the 2023 SHRM Learning System.

1. If you had to reschedule your exam and will lose access to the product before your exam date, simply fill out the form here to apply for a product extension. Please note the 2020 Learning System is not available for extension as that product will be sunset at the end of 2022.
2. You can also upload your ATT or exam receipt by clicking "NEXT" below, and then selecting "No, I need additional help" and your Learning System extension will be granted within 1 business day.
